Shona Jennings is Director of Impact: Programmes for ChildFund New Zealand – a role she’s held for the past eight years. Shona attributes most of her development knowledge to the outstanding professionals and local partners she’s worked alongside, previously in Papua New Guinea and South Africa, and currently in several countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific – and, of course, in Aotearoa New Zealand! Under their tuition, she has built particular skills in strength-based, participatory community development.
Shona has been very involved with ChildFund’s international Alliance partners, where she has led initiatives to develop global programme standards and accountability guidelines, and has written position statements and policy, influencing the organisation’s work in over 60 countries, with programming to more than 12 million children. Shona is a member of the CID Board and formerly worked for VSA. She holds a Masters in Development Studies from Massey University.
