Dr. Gordon Leua Nanau is from Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands.  He has strong research interests around leadership issues in Pacific island countries and is a keen observer of the impacts of globalization on local Pacific communities. His other research interests include constitutional reforms, elections and democracy, rural livelihoods and Pacific epistemologies.

Gordon is a senior lecturer in the School of Government, Development and International Affairs (SGDIA) at USP, Laucala Campus in Fiji where he has been teaching since 2010. Dr Nanau received university education from the USP, the College of Charleston, SC, USA and the University of East Anglia, Norwich, United Kingdom.
