Write-Up Grants and Writing Retreats

Supporting Pacific Island Early- Career and Mid-Career Researchers to Write-Up Research for Publication!

The Aotearoa New Zealand International Development Studies Network (DevNet) is making available to early-career and mid-career researchers working in the development field, small Research Write-up Grants (the Grant), to support the write-up of their research for publication.

The Pacific Write-Up Grant

The grant supports the dissemination of development research produced by Pacific scholars by providing development researchers studying or working at Pacific universities/research institutes with the necessary support to prepare their research findings for submission to a reputable peer-reviewed academic journal. The value of each grant will be NZ$2,000.

Please note that there is no ongoing funding for the Pacific Write-Up Grants.

DevNet Mentorship Programme

DevNet has developed a Mentorship Programme in response to the call for targeted support for Pacific Researchers, and in keeping with the organisation’s outcome of promoting research collaborations. Recipients of DevNet’s Pacific Development Research Write-Up Grants are invited to indicate their interest in working with a mentor.

DevNet Writing Retreats

We support Pacific researchers with experience in academic publishing and experience in organising writing retreats or providing mentorship, to organise writing retreats or workshops. Applications for the Writing Retreat Grants are by invitation only.
