International Development Conference: Integrating Research, Policy and Practice
Background:
IDC 2012 provided an international forum for development scholars, researchers, policy makers and practitioners to explore the linkages between the three areas that constitute international development work – the integration of research, policy and practice in development. The keynote speakers were Professor Uma Kothari who spoke on Popular Representations of Development, Dr. Thomas Webster from the National Research Institute in PNG and Patti O’Neil from the OECD. This conference was the eighth in the series of DevNet (International Development Studies Network of Aotearoa New Zealand) conferences.
