Dr. Viliamu Iese

Vili is the Associate Director of the Victoria Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub, and a Senior Research Fellow (Climate and Drought Studies) at the University of Melbourne. He has conducted research and published widely on food systems, agriculture, food security, health, climate change and disaster resilience in the Pacific Islands. Vili is currently doing research on evaluating the impacts of agroecological interventions on diets and health in Fiji, Philippines and two Caribbean countries. He is also the deputy leader of the sustainable agriculture intensification research in Samoa and Tonga. He is a member of many regional and global research and development networks and a proud Samoan and a citizen of Tuvalu.
