Will Chisholm is the Lead Adviser, International Development Policy in the Pacific and Development Group at New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. His work covers New Zealand’s policy settings on sustainable development, and engagement with domestic and international actors on development policy issues. Will is particularly interested in the unique development characteristics of Pacific island countries, economic and public sector reform, and opportunities for New Zealand’s public policy settings to support international development.
He has worked at MFAT since late 2014, including almost three years based in New Zealand’s High Commission in Port Moresby managing aid projects in Papua New Guinea, and as an economics adviser. Will previously worked at The Treasury, and holds a BA(Hons) in Economics and a LLB from the University of Otago.
